If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know that it was dark.
Dark would be a word without meaning...

look into the quantum level of matter.

i think, nothing has been created, the universe is "self discovered"
the universe has a "self", you and me are part of it. ;)

hence, when you are thinking about the universe, the universe is thinking about you.
